The side borders are off to the left by 1px or so. I'm a perfectionist though so you can ignore that! :)

Very nice indeed! Your work has gotten me inspired to do some more work on my own guild's phpraider. I'm a bit lost though, I found the styles.css files and such, but which files define the layout of the page? I've spent the last 20 minutes sifting through the directories, but I'm still not sure. A couple of pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

The file you need is -- header.tpl
What I can do is make some blank templates with different layout styles, post the code then all you need to do is copy & paste then add your own images.

Download can be found here http://forums.phpraider.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=17
The main logo is a .png file so you can easily remove the 'Wrath of the lich king' text but keeping the main image in place, then you can add your guilds name or some type of logo if you wish.
The image file you need to change can be found here
\phpRaider_v1.0.7\templates\TheLichKing\images\php Raider_logo.png

png file only has one layer, thus can't change text unless you manually blot out the "wrath of the lich king"
Any chance of getting a PSD?

You seem very nit-picky like me! Couple of things about your phpBB3 site. First of all, I can't see the "ld" on guild due to the flare you've added and the ZA guy's arm. Also, you should add some sort of image in the footer to complement the top one. This will help ease the transition at the bottom of the phpBB3 page from just "ending." Other than those things, it's a very clean and nice looking template. Both for phpBB3 and phpRaider. I wish I knew as much about PHP templates as you seem to as my guild has been wanting something similar to this and I don't have the skill set to provide it.
One thing you might want to consider down the road is a complete merger of every additional site with phpBB. That way there aren't separate pages for phpRaider and phpBB. I saw this done once and it looked really nice. The calendar just opened in the page body of their forums. The template matched for both of the sites and looked real nice.
That is my final goal but as I said, I lack the skills. All in all, great site! Very professional looking!

The "ld" is covered for a reason as is the ladies hair over the "T" & the green guys hair over the "B"
It was done so the viewer could see that I had put all the pieces of the image together & that I did not just find a image & put the text on top of it, as there is a lot of work in the making of that image.
I am pleased that you noticed my hard work....
Yes you are right I should have made a footer image but I have so many things that I want to do & so little time to do it all in. So basically it's not finished the boarder was done as a rush job as well.
I don't have the time to do the coding side of things so I will not be making a merger with phpbb, well not yet !
"The Lich King Template" is also not finished !
There's no footer image & where the login text is that part needs some sort of blue background so you can read the text better.
but again it's down to lack of time, as they take many hours to make
Thanks for your comments
& Xen0n you did not waste your time, you managed to remove the text.

Hi I installed your template and everything was fine, but there is a problem with the left border as the content on all sites overlaps it. I'm using a german translation so maybe it has something to do with that.
Any idea on what I have to change to fix this?

The solution for the moonclaw is not a solution/fix it just gives the option to make the moonclaw a fixed template so that would not help.
I have just deleted the 'TheLichKing' folder from my web host & re downloaded the template from the Downloads section on this website & re installed it back to my web host just to make sure the download is still fine & it is, it works fine on both of the computers I have here.
So the download file works fine & has done so for 700+ other people but whats strange that all of a sudden its not working for two people.
The error/typo in the coding that Rihlsul's sharpe eye found with the moonclaw template (the 'TheLichKing' template has the same error/typo) does not effect the template in anyway it's just bad house keeping on my part.
So.... the only thing that I can think of is that some of the files did not fully upload to your host the something happend to tharkkun.
Or have you changed the name of the folder from 'TheLichKing' to something else ? as that will stop it from working the folder's name must not be changed.
Other then that I can't help.
This template is pretty pimp. I was using the darkmoonclaw before upgrading to 1.07a.
EDIT: Nevermind. I should always wait an extra 10 minutes before posting. It got moved to the wrong folder when my copy screwed up.

Thanks for the feedback Verderf, I did not think that missing the '/' off would stop it working,
but if its fixed it for you then I will add what you have found to my opening post on this thread, to help other users.
I have just installed firefox 3 to see if it works for me & it still does but.... It now does not display the left hand side border fully the same problem that Calmacil posted about. which I have found a fix for.
When I make the templates I always test them on IE & Firefox to make sure they work on both, it would be easyer if I did not have to as there's alot of things that work on one but not on the other, but now with the new firefox 3 parts don't look right.
thanks again

If this fixed it for you, then you didn't follow the installation instructions when installing phpRaider.
That one clearly states that you should end your site url with a '/'.
If you didn't then the css link would have resulted in:
'http://www.yoursite.com/phpraidertemplates/TheLichKing/style/stylesheet.css'
adding the '/' to the template fixes that particulare template, but if you'd changed your site url instead, then it would also have fixed it.

I changed the following icons: (found in /templates/WotLK/images/icons/)
(12x12) icon_signed_up.png
(12x12) icon_cancel_signup.png
(12x12) icon_queue.png
(12x12) icon_edit.png
(14x14)-->(12x12) icon_signup.png
When viewing the main page (Calendar View), I changed the icons and also made them all 12x12 pixels as well. All the icons load and are correct...however whenever icon_signup.png and icon_edit.png are next to each other, there is no space between them.
Where in the template/layout is this? I've looked through several of the '.tpl files with no luck. apparently the original has them with no space also. It's the only combination where there is no spacing.
EDIT: Issue is only when using Internet Explorer...Firefox runs the page and spacing is perfect. Problem solved in my eyes as IE is crap. (was viewing my site earlier while at work...small issue).
I love this theme! I seriously cannot wait until you release the matching phpbb3 theme 8)

Hi. I have a small problem with the theme.
When on the main screen, if I hover over a raid, the tooltip text has no background and is difficult to read. Hovering over the signup and other areas generates a tooltip with a black background as one would expect.
I can't figure out how to fix this so any pointers would be welcome.
Thanks

Hello
First of all thanks for the very nice template, great work!
I have one question though:
When I open a raid, I can't sign up for it, I can only do that in the calendar view by clicking the little pencil (while in the default template I can sign up when opening a raid).
Did I do something wrong? or am I just blind :confused:
Thanks in advance!

Well, seeing as how I haven't got a response back from the OP, I may as well end up asking the userbase for this template.
I'm getting the dreaded "white-mess" bug with this template. I have tried everything that was listed for a fix in the original post. Unfortunately, it seems to not have affected anything. Would anyone else have any suggestions for me to do? If any information is needed in order to correct this problem, I'd be more than happy to provide.

I'm afraid that didn't work for me, still no sign of it.
I've downloaded the raider package again and replacing the "view.tpl" from there as well, but no luck.
I've cleared the cache to make sure it actually gets loaded again and not some cached page.
I've included a screenshot (don't know if it is going to help though).

No it does not. I'm using FF2/3 in Linux, too, and encounter no problems at all with phpraider. I suspect it has something to do with the template itself.
@windy: did you make it from 1.0.7b base (default) template or the SVN code?
@maliwik: do you use 1.0.7b?
As those version differ quite a bit in templating code I would first have a deeper look there.

07-16-2008, 07:56 AM
The template was made from 1.0.7 default
The files that I changed are
footer.tpl
header.tpl
view.tpl
& the files in the style & image folders
maliwik as been PMing me about this I am trying to get them to post on the open forum the same info.
The LOTR template works fine for them as they are just copys of each other with new colours & images theres no reason why one should work & the other not. They both have the same bugs.
one last thing...
@maliwik: Have you changed the name of the template ? & please post on here as Thurgrim is trying to help you.
also when you uploaded the template make sure the path to it looks like this

Well I have just viewed your phpRaider site with the The Lich King Guild Template installed & I can see what you mean it's all messed up with no images.
I went to a site that is using the same template that is working & looked at your sites & there sites source code & apart from the sites url they read the same.

So I am at a loss as everything is as it should be.
Have you tried removing the Template from your host & re installing it again but before you reinstall making sure it has been fully removed from your host.
As when I put in the url for one of the images your host tells me -
The page you tried to access does not exist on this server. This page may not exist due to the following reasons:

I checked, and as far as I can tell, all the files are there. Even the files that say it's missing are there. I removed the template completely and reuploaded it and the same thing happened.
I'm really not sure what could be causing the problem. Would it have something to do with me changing the Sitename from phpraider to raids?

Don't think so 'cause it points to files starting from the template root (TheLinchKing) if I'm not mistaken.
But I don't have a clue what could be causing this problem, maybe server related?
Try to install phpRaider on a free hosting like x10hosting and try to install the template there as well.
Hope it works out for you!

I tried it on a fresh installation with nothing changed at all - same thing. I even tried changing the line in header.tpl but I don't believe that helped either.

Did you unarch them manually on your server via shell? Because by uploading via FTP it should automagically set those, but if that were the problems, that's fine (as they are solved now) :)

I think it's something on GoDaddy's end.. It worked fine with the Lord of the Rings template when I uploaded that. I tried both unarchiving them through the shell as well as uploading all files by FTP.
Anyways, it works perfectly now, and I even spruced it up a bit to match our sort of theme of our guild: http://www.kofguild.us/phpraidertest/

Hey all,
I've installed the template (great job btw) and applied all the fixes and everything is working fine. I just have one irritating little problem. The labels on the javascript signup popup are the same colour as the background, meaning they're invisible (unless you drag a mouse over them). I've scouted around for somewhere to change the text colour and given myself a headache.
I've included a screenshot just to make it clearer.
Any help will be much appreciated.

----Edit----
Typically, 20 minutes after posting I found the solution for myself. In case anyone has a similar problem:
stylesheet.css:
.popupBack {
background-color:#000000;
border: 1px solid #000000;
}

Thanks for the nice colourful image in your post showing the bug.
Have added it to the list of bugs at the start of this thread & link the fix pointing to your post above as you explained it so nicely.
I posted the fix on the LOTRO thread awhile back but forgot to add it to this on.

If the default template works and this one doesn't, you need to compare them. Could be something simple. I'd blame it on the template before I'd blame it on the site's code.

This template was not disigned to be used with SVN, also if you are using phpRaider 1.0.8 & above You'll need to copy the calendar.tpl file from the default folder into your custom template folder for the calendar to work.

I'm about to upload this template again and figured I could fix the issues with it before I upload it.
phpRaider 1.0.8 & above Users
You'll need to copy the calendar.tpl file from the default folder into your custom template folder for the calendar to work.
If when installed the layout is messed up and shows a white background
Edit the header.tpl file with the code below.
Remove (line 7)
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="{$site_url}templates/TheLichKing/style/stylesheet.css">
Replace with (line7)
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="{$site_url}/templates/TheLichKing/style/stylesheet.css">
When viewing with Firefox 3 the left hand border WILL not show up fully,
Edit these lines in the 'stylesheet.css' file with the text below (lines 241 to 246)
it can be found here \templates\TheLichKing\style\stylesheet.css
Remove (lines 241 to 246)
#bodyContainer {
background-color: #000000;
padding: 10px;
margin: 5px;
width: 780px;
}
Replace with (lines 241 to 245)
#bodyContainer {
padding: 10px;
margin: 5px;
width: 780px;
}
Those three are fixed.
Javascript popup text same colour as the background
See this post for fix http://forums.phpraider.com/showthread.php?t=1399&page=6
See the attached images. The Ajax on mouse over on the raid allready had a blueish bg and an orange frame, so I copied that style over to the other tooltip and the signup popup window. I felt that was more "correct" with the style than just making it black as the fix suggests. What do you think?
Users can't signup for the raid view
Replace the 'view.tpl' within this template with the one within the default template.
I found one difference in addition to the signup part from the default template.
You've added 'class="viewbg"' on a few places.
However I didn't notice any differences in FF3.5 or IE8

Moved your question here, since this is where it belong.
As you can see on the post I just did, it's not uploaded yet, since I'm waiting for feedback from the others on the post I did earlier.

Thanks for making the improvements to the template Boa looks good about time it was fixed.
I have not had access to a php webhost for awhile now so I can't do any testing or changes myself.
Thanks again

Hello all :) Really love this template but I have ran in to a problem I really don't know how to fix. Been trying to use the fixes on the forum but still doesn't work. When I'm in the "create raid" page and click on the line where you set what date, a mini calendar pops up and yes, that's a really nice feature but the backround is transparent wich makes it really hard to see. Any suggestions?
Edit: Oh btw, I use phpraider 1.0.9

Look in the default template.
I'm on vacation so I don't have any computer with code with me.
Somewhere inside the default template folder, it's a folder named 'jquery'.
Your template doesn't have that folder/files.
You can just copy it from the default folder, or roll at theme with the themeroller at jQuery.com (http://www.jquery.com).

I'm not sure what happened. I installed this template with the header.tpl and firefox fix and this is how the template appears on my site. If I revert to the default it shows up fine but its doubled up the top and if I go to view the calendar its super tiny. Any ideas what I did wrong?

What firefox fix are you talking about?
I have a working copy of this locally, just missing a good jQuery theme matching and then I can upload.
Compared to the one available for download, the only thing I had to change was the one line added to header.tpl.
Also, since you're a Charter Member, are you running the SVN version or 1.0.10?
There are huge changes to templates in the SVN version, so 1.0.x templates won't work with the SVN version.

It was a fix in one of the posts on this thread. I am running 1.0.10. This is the final thing I need to fix before I make this new site live. Also, I need to add some link on the phpraider page to take folks back to the main site since it is a page all by itself.
*Also, I have a block on my front page that is working with this version. I dont think its related but if there isnt a current or future raid in the block the block itself screws up the whole front page of my site. Thought I'd just throw that in there in case someone has any ideas as to why it would do that. :(

I have the same problem. Copying the "jquery" folder from templates/default/style\ over to templates/WotLK/style did not work. I am running phpraider 1.0.10.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Did you also alter header.tpl, as I wrote in the phpRaider 1.0.9 release thread (http://forums.phpraider.com/showpost.php?p=15743&postcount=7)?

Yes I did that. Anyway, I fixed it, it turned that I have misplaced that include.
Thanks for you time,
