Updates to fix some of the bugs that have been found

phpRaider 1.0.8 & above Users
You'll need to copy the calendar.tpl file from the default folder into your custom template folder for the calendar to work.

Users can't signup for the raid view
Replace the 'view.tpl' within this template with the one within the default template.

I have not forgotten about this template I am working on it now,
it got side lined while I made the WoWMoonclaw01 template.
I seem to have less & less time at the PC at the moment so its slow going.
hope to be finshed in the next 7-10 days
I have also updated the image at the start of this thread to show what it looks like at the moment 60% done

Looks absolutely fantastic. Do you plan on making in white as well?

Looks absolutely fantastic. Do you plan on making in white as well?

As most of the images have a black background & not transparent it would not be easy to do,
without a loss of quality.
So no sorry, not yet anyway.

If theres anything you would like changing, you have till then to post it here.

We tried to used the LotRO icons already posted here with our modded theme but they were too fussy and cluttered to be easy to use. So we made these very simple icons instead.

I know they aren't pretty but in practice, they are very clear for people to see at a glance what events are coming up.

Thought you might want to include them as an alternatie icon set.

Just found a wee problem, with I presume the template.

Tried it in Firefox & IE7 & the problem appears on both.

Basically on the Calendar page, when you click the Pencil icon to sign up one of your characters, the actually text which describes each text box is in White & the background to the pop up box is white so you can't actually see the text.

See attached image.

If you can tell me which file I need to amend then I can alter it no problem.

Thanks.

Edit these lines in the 'stylesheet.css' file with the text below (lines 324 to 327)
it can be found here \templates\lord_of_the_rings\style\stylesheet.css

Remove

.popupBack {
background-color:#ffffff;
border: 1px solid #000000;
}

Replace with

.popupBack {
background-color:#000000;
border: 2px solid #ffffff;
}

Download the template then upzip it

Upload the unzip folder named 'lord_of_the_rings' to your phpRaider Templates folder

Path should look something like this \phpraider\templates\lord_of_the_rings

When uploaded open the Configuration page from the phpraider menu on your site.

Administer - Configuration

scroll down to where it says Site settings - Site template: click on the tab to the right and you should see 'lord_of_the_rings' listed there click on it then move to bottom of page and click on submit.

That's it other then to fix all of the bugs that come with it they are listed at the top of this thread

Windyboo, or anyone else for that matter.

Does this template need tweaking as I can't get it to work with 1.0.8a atm. Totally screws the layout up.

Thanks.

1.0.8a is a template breaker. There are several pages that need to be reworked. It is possible, but you need to have a little knowledge of coding and a good eye for playing a game I like to call "What has changed?". Fun stuff.

You're mixing 1.0.8a with the SVN version. They're totally different.
There is ONE change that 1.0.8+ needs and that's written in the news post when it was released. Seems no one reads stuff like that though....

Still, for those of you that upgrade from earlier than 1.0.8 and uses custom templates, you'll need to copy the calendar.tpl file from the default folder into your custom template folder for the calendar to work.

Indeed I was. Sorry. Just the calendar is changed. Thanks Boa. I've been working in the SVN too much.

I tried that & it worked, then stopped working.

Found out for some reason the Calendar.tpl had gone corrupt for some reason. Re-uploaded it & worked fine :D

Greetings,

What would be the correct way to add/edit buttons on the navbar?

At default it looks like this:

Home | Roster | My Account | Administer | Create

I would like to duplicate the "Home" link and have the first one link to my home page of the website, and have the second one function as the home for phpraid...

Then, to keep there from being two "home" links side by side... I would want to name the second one (the one for phpraid index) "Event Calendar".

---

I did make some progress with this on my own, but couldn't quite get it...

I initially went to /plugins/plugin_menu/menu.php

Then, I found my way down to line 181, and at this point I could duplicate the home links, and get one to go to my websites main home page, but I couldn't get the other to rename to "Event Calendar" and link to the phpraid index.

I hope that helps some... now I must sleep... I've been squinting through one eye for a while now... thanks ahead of time for the help!

I had more or less the same requirement. I did this:

After
// create and add itemsI changed the first menu item to
SmartyMenu::initItem($item);
SmartyMenu::setItemText($item, '<img src="templates/'.$pConfig['template'].'/images/menu_home.png" border="0" alt="Calendar"> Calendar');
SmartyMenu::setItemLink($item, 'index.php');
SmartyMenu::addMenuItem($menu, $item);Before
// save the menu into the session
//SmartyMenu::saveMenu('mymenu', $menu);
//}I added
SmartyMenu::initItem($item);
SmartyMenu::setItemText($item, '<img src="templates/'.$pConfig['template'].'/images/menu_home.png" border="0" alt="Forum"> Forum');
SmartyMenu::setItemLink($item, 'http://www.roomforimprovement.eu/index.php');
SmartyMenu::addMenuItem($menu, $item);Hope that helps.

Thanks Candy! That gave me just enough of what I needed to see to get me off and running again... that and a little sleep. ;)

Much appreciated.

Boa do you have this template or do you need me to add it to the downloads section when it's up & running again?
It would still be the bugged version as I have no one of fixing it without a php host.
I can temp uplaod it to http://www.mmorpgtrading.com/

Boa do you have this template or do you need me to add it to the downloads section when it's up & running again?

I have the zip, but I haven't had the time to add it to my SVN yet.
I don't like to change other people's stuff without having the option to track everything I've changed. :)

So I'll start working on this one now and we'll see when it's fixed. :)

I've done these fixes now:
- calendar.tpl for 1.0.8+ compatibility.
- Background color on the signup form.
- Added signup from the raid view.

Any other known issues with this template before I upload?

windyboo

It had the same issues as The Lich King template
Used the same code for both templates just changed the images & colours.
So I think you have fixed it :)
