can't subscribe for charter membership

as when I try to use paypal I get this error

any ideas of how I can sign up for charter membership?

Occasionally PayPal mucks up a bit. Just try again a bit later.

i found the problem ;)

you shoud not enable the checkbox "Make this a recurring payment" by default

because this caused the error
