Hello,
First let me thank you for taking the time to offer people like me a program like this. You have done a great job.

I'm a little confused on which is the latest BC stable issue. I did download and have installed V3.0.9.2 but I also see under latest issue in the downloads a 3.0.7. Do I have the correct version installed? I believe I tried the 3.0.7 and it was not BC ready.

Secondly, I'm having permissions issues. I can log on as the master administrator and do everything fine. However in the permissions sets I can grant a person full access, save it and then log in as that person. But when I do they have no permission at all. They can see the raid but can not add there character to a raid. When I go back into permissions it still has the check mark for everything granting them full access.

Basically I'm saying that right now I have to do everything from the super administrator account.

Any suggestions what might be wrong?

Can't help with your permissions problem.

3.0.7 was the last "official" version of phpraid. No, it is not BC ready. Anything after 3.0.7 is labeled as "unofficial". 3.0.9.2 (unofficial) is the latest version I've seen referenced on this site (and I believe the first BC ready version), so probably that's the correct version to install.

OK...
Done some more reading after the fact (a problem I never kicked :-\ ) and I see PHPRAIDER. It seams this is the latest program available, kind of replaces PHPRAID.

I just became a charter member as I don't mind paying money for something like this.

I will download it tonight and give it a try. Hopefully the permissions problem will be a thing of the past.

For phpraider, is the V1.0.0 RC2 the latest issue? I'm not a programmer so I don't want to get involved in Beta buggie releases if I don't have to...

I hate to say it, but that's why they're beta releases, they are kinda buggy.

Now, that being said, if you want to use Phpraider right now and don't want to fuss too much with it, here's my advice. (Distilled from having read almost all of the charter members forum...I'd recomend reading some of it yourself)

1) Install Phpraider.
2) read this thread, edit this code http://www.phpraider.com/new_site/index.php?topic=655.0
3) Create a character attribute (can be a stupid thing, as stupid as 'are midgets silly? it's just necessary to fix some display issues with RC2) note that text attributes are always displayed as '0' in this version.
4) Create groups, (administer -> groups)
5) Set a default group for members (administer -> configuration scroll down to Misc Settings)

Additional notes:
-The countdown till raid start time will always be wrong. I recomend entering the start time in the description of the raid and ignoring this bit of text
- In entering a raid, the time may not save properly. For the site I used, the raid invite and start times are always 2 hours before the time I enter, so I just add two hours to the entered time (aka, raid at 6, enter 8 so it displays 6).
- If you set signups to freeze, they freeze at invite time not start time. (and will not freeze any time before that)
- info about permissions and some suggested permissions for user groups http://www.phpraider.com/new_site/index.php?topic=703

Now that you've read all that...yes, the current version works, yes it's perfectly functional for raids...it's just not as pretty or perfect as people would like.
